Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Continental PureContact with EcoPlus Technology

By Tire Rack Consumer Reviews

Great tread life and all around tire. I drive fast on Hwy's but mellow in traffic. Rain performance, even heavy rain has been excellent, I have yet to feel a hydro plain and I'm not one to slow down because of rain. I drive about 200 miles a day 50k/year and have tried a bunch of high end high mile tires, these have lasted better them all. I only rotated them 3xs in 50k miles and they still wearing good. They look like they still have about 20-25k left on them until the indicators are reached so 70-80k is definitely doable. I'd also add that they're still quiet on all but one surface, old rough asphalt is very loud. I run 18s and I put these in 16s on my wife's Odyssey slightly over inflated by 3psi and my son runs them too. Good tire

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V2

By Tire Rack Consumer Reviews

In November, I purchased a brand new 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.0 Turbo. I went straight from the dealership to my preferred tire store (where I had TireRack ship my Blizzaks) to have these Blizzaks installed. Living in Denver, i travel to the mountains weekly to hit the slopes. These DMV2 Blizzaks were AWESOME! I drove all winter from the Rocky Mountains, to the city, and all the way to Ohio for the holidays, and these tires gave me the stability and confidence in every wintery condition. In snow, the tires really gripped and allowed me to accelerate faster than I'd expect in snow. In standing water on the highway, the tires quickly pushed the water out to maintain grip, eliminating hydroplaning. I was VERY satisfied with these Blizzaks. Now that it's warmer, I've finally taken them off and stored the, until next winter. I HIGHLY recommend the DMV2 for the midsize SUV or light truck. These tires performed exceptionally well, and surpassed my expectations for Blizzaks.

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2

By Tire Rack Consumer Reviews

I'm on my second set of BF Goodrich tires, the first set was the the K/O's which lasted me over 60,000 miles of --------, that I put them through, I'm on the K/O 2's and they are just as good as the last set, I will be staying with this brand for quite some time.

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the BFGoodrich g-Force COMP-2 A/S

By Tire Rack Consumer Reviews

I have been very happy with a set 9f these tires. The traction is great in dry, wet, and snow. I have also been happy with breaking and steering. The downside to this tire is the noise. It sounds like a Mud tire. I am on my 2nd set of these tires and I am happy with them.

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S

By Tire Rack Consumer Reviews

I decided up upgrade the wheels and tires on my 1994 Mustang GT from 17 to 18 inch wheels. The car is mainly used as a daily driver but sees the autocross course quite often. Driving around on the street I could already notice the reduced road noise and improved handling and breaking compared to the BFG Sport Comp 2 on the stock wheels, but it was night and day when I took them out for autocross. The turn-in, breaking, and handling were a night and day difference. 90's mustangs are not known for their handling, but with these tires the car was running 6 seconds faster over a 1.2 course. It made it feel like a completely different car. The best part was that as the tires got warmer the better they got. With barely any noticeable tire wear after 2 autocross events these tires continue to impress and I am looking forward to many more miles and autocross events with them.

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Goodyear Fortera HL Edition

By Tire Rack Consumer Reviews

These came stock on my 2014 Grand Cherokee. I am pleased with the dry performance of the tire, but downright scared of them in the rain. A week after getting the vehicle I was driving in the rain. These tires hydroplaned at 40mph. I can't remember the last time I had a tire readily hydroplane. I am considering scrapping them, they are so bad. I already know I will be buying snow tires for my vehicle. I had a rental GMC Acadia last year on a business trip to Kansas. I picked this vehicle figuring it would be my best bet in case of a snowstorm. These tires were on it. You would think that a bid, heavy FWD vehicle with all season tires would at least be respectable in the snow. Not the case with these. Absolutely terrible traction. These won't cut it for a New England winter.

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500

By Tire Rack Consumer Reviews

Put 235/45-17 up front with 245/45-17(have ran this size tire for over 100k miles) out back on my '06 S2000 and I'm very pleased by the dry and wet traction these tires give my S. In the dry the rear tires start to sing before the back end starts to step out and that is very easily controlled by my right foot. Some of the best 3 season tires I've ran on my S2000, gives very good traction and still can put some good long miles on them before you need a new set, last longer than the Max Performance Summer and gives just about the same traction.

Will definitely will buy again.

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500

By Tire Rack Consumer Reviews

The only thing I cannot comment on is Tread Life since I've only driven them 500 miles or so. The first day I got them installed we had torrential rain and 75 mph winds. I made it through all that and one hour traffic safe and sound. No complaints. Unlike most people who use this tire, this is on a 2015 Audi Q5 V6 TDI stock. I decided on this setup because this SUV drives much more sportier than most SUVs out there. It is also my first SUV ever, actually my wife's, but I drive it for now. Long story. Anyway, I wanted the drive to be as much car-like as possible, as sporty as possible, and to compliment's the Audi's great handling character. Mission accomplished!!! Again, no complaints. They're very sure-footed on the highway, keep the car stuck to the ground. Already took a 3 hour one way road trip with them and they were great on the Interstate. They handled great in wet, already proven and dry, especially aided by the Quattro. ;) I had Nokian zLine summer-only before and wanted to put the SUV version, but I could not find the size I wanted (this SUV takes many sizes) and what I found was pricey, thus the decision to try this Firestone. I can`t complain. If they keep on driving like this and give me good Tread Life (treadwear is 340), I might just buy them again, if I can`t find the Nokians in the size I want. The Nokians are more comparable to the Michelin Pilot Super Sport, if you`re familiar with the tire. So far so good.

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the BFGoodrich g-Force COMP-2 A/S

By Tire Rack Consumer Reviews

I purchased these tires for my wife's Toyota Camry Sport, which slid all over the road in light light snow in the mountains of Pennsylvania' 2 season weather (winter and warmer). I'm glad I did. It has snowed constantly from Thanksgiving until May.
I have been impressed with how they handle snow, to up to about 1/2 a foot, this car now performs better than my Subaru Forester, albeit with worn poorly designed all weather highway tires. Summer handling is fantastic, a little noise but they grab and have helped me avoid hitting several deer which previous tires would not have prevented. Traveling the Interstates, they are very stable in wet conditions.

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Cooper CS5 Grand Touring

By Tire Rack Consumer Reviews

I like these tires. They have performed well. They need to be replaced, but this past winter driving on ice and snow using common sense, they performed very well. I felt confident, and hardly ever slipped driving a Grand Vitara 4x4. I drove through some high wet snow in February/March and felt the tires did great where others were getting stuck or slipping and sliding. Again, all this happened with the tire driving in its 3rd winter. I drove using common sense and experience knowing that ice underneath snow can quickly become a problem. As my vehicle is a 4x4, I do not expect any tire to reach its recommended mileage rating. The OEM's were replaced at approximately 35,000 miles.

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4

By Tire Rack Consumer Reviews

The stock sport michelin zero pressure summer tires are totally overkill for street driving a stingray. I'm a car guy and like to accelerate and these winter tires would be fine to run year round here in RI. They are that good. If I had no intentions of driving my car on a track in the summer I would almost consider just leaving them on. The rears are super pricey but I drove my car all winter, in the snow and had no problems. I just put the stock summer Michelin tires back on and they are louder, pick up and spit out every piece of sand they touch and ride much worse than these alpin's. At full throttle at 70 degrees, they create axel hop in 1st gear where the Alpins just held. Granted the summer tires are run flat's and the winter's aren't but I like the car much better on the winter tires, even on warm pavement. As good as the corvette is, I think GM put the stock sticky summer tires on to get the 90' stopping distance from 60mph and the 1.05g cornering rating but in rear world driving you don't need that much cornering grip. In comparison, the alpin's are the better tire 10 months out of the year in the North East. At anything below 50 degrees, the stock summer tires have real trouble putting the power down. Below freezing, it's down right dangerous to drive them. The alpin's can take full throttle in all gears and all temps with 460hp. That's really impressive. They also don't make any weird noises at parking lot speeds when turning like the summer tires do. Buy them, they are the best tires I've ever owned.

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Pirelli P Zero All Season Plus

By Tire Rack Consumer Reviews

This is a great all seasons tire for the performance oriented driver. It strikes a great balance between ride and handling. I had the Michelin AS3's before these and while they had better dry turn in (sharper), they rode noticeably stiffer, were noisier and had worse snow traction. I understand that the newer PS3+'s are an improvement but I am very happy with the Pirellis. Very good handling in dry and wet with decent light snow traction and a comfortable ride which is the trade off I was looking for with the horrible NJ winter roads (ok, the roads are not too good in the other seasons). Recommend these highly. For the summer I am very close to getting dedicated wheels and tires.

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Sumitomo HTR Z III

By Tire Rack Consumer Reviews

Installed these on my 2002 Porsche Boxster S about 2 years ago.
I have close to 15,000 miles of aggressive curvy road driving.
For the price, these tires can not be beat!
Tread wear is excellent... In fact, I have nothing but excellent remarks for every aspect of these tires.
Will definately purchase again.

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin Primacy MXM4 ZP

Nice blend of comfort and performance for a wide range of conditions, including snow. Quieter and better riding than other all-season tires I have driven on this car.

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin X-Ice Xi3

By Tire Rack Consumer Reviews

We bought these Michelin Xice tires as a winter season only tire mounted on rims for the wife's Jaguar. It is a common saying that when it snows, the Jag no goes. These tires have put that saying to rest. The Jag never skipped a beat on our one day of snow this season, which we got 3 inches of fairly wet snow. The drive down our road is about 4 degress all downhill, and the Jag didn't slip even once. It has traction control, and that made a trip up the hill a bit slow, but it went up nonetheless. The majority of the time driving has been on dry and sometimes wet roads. These tires don't feel or sound like a snow tire at all, with the exception of being a bit slow on initial turn-in. I also have the same tires on my 97 Jag (no traction control), and it managed to get up and down the hill with minimal slipping. I only noticed an occasional small slip, but any other tire I would have had to stay home. I will be driving on mine year-round, so I will comment on daily life with these tires in the future. I expect nothing but praise.

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ ZP (W- or Y-Speed Rated)

By Tire Rack Consumer Reviews

Excellent tires, very responsive, smooth riding, and sharp looking. Purchase tire because of reasonable price and to replace the stock tires. I live South Florida and drive on the highway mostly, tires have outstanding handling dry roads as well in the heavy Florida rain storm. The only complaint is the tire noise is a little loud for the price.

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2

By Tire Rack Consumer Reviews

I've only had these on my Silverado about 2 months, BUT, I'm completely satisfied, the ride, and the look. my truck was factory equip t with 225x75x16's, the previous owner only had 215x75x16's on it, I wanted something much larger and more aggressive looking, and I LOVE raised white lettered tires, ( I even have them on my Grand Caravan), I decided on 245x75x16's, I would have gone up to 285x75's but I did NOT want to have to use spacers between my dual rear wheels. My truck looks great with the larger tires, handles great, very responsive compared to the old tires, I've had BFG's before on other vehicles and loved them, so far I have nothing but praise for these TKO 2's, I monitor my air pressure's in all my vehicles weekly, and rotate every oil change, so I expect excellent service from them. I have always loved BFG tires, I only wish they made a sport tire that fit my Corvette.

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin Premier LTX

By Tire Rack Consumer Reviews

A couple of months back my RAV4 reached 45,000 miles and it was time to replace my OEM Continental Cross Contact tires. I was satisfied with the Continentals and had planned on buying another set and logged on to the Tire Rack site to purchase a set. However, I began to research some other options and was surprised to see several other brands of tires out performed the Continentals with Michelin Premiers standing head and shoulders above the others. As I live in the Upstate of South Carolina, home of the Michelin North American Headquarters and several manufacturing facilities, I chose the Michelin Premiers to support my local community but I wound up getting even more than just a good feeling, I got a terrific tire!!!
I recently made a round trip to Annapolis, Maryland, a distance of over 1,100 miles and I got more miles per gallon than I have ever gotten before........an additional two miles per gallon, in fact! I hasten to add that this trip wasn't all freeway driving and included both road construction and bumper to bumper traffic once I got up toward Maryland. In addition, the ride and next to zero road noise was impressive and made the trip a wonderful experience.
I now have Michelins on all three of my vehicles and I have no reason to think about getting any other brands.

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin LTX M/S2

By Tire Rack Consumer Reviews

I live in Kansas and travel to the east coast at least four times a year between New York and Virginia. I must say my family and I are very impressed with how quiet the ride is and how well they handle in all weather conditions. I just returned form up state NY during the last winter storm they had in March 2018 and my vehicle handled flawlessly through the snow and ice on the roads. A total of 2,500 miles round trip and not one issue during the winter weather. They handle well in quick stop situations in cases where people like to pull out in front of you. As for daily driving, you will enjoy the smooth ride and the quietness they offer. I will say I am a little disappointed with the tread wear. This is my third set of tires and my second set of Michelins and I am at 34,000 miles and I may need to replace them within the year. My last set lasted up around 65,000 miles or so. Overall a great tire that preforms well under any condition that it is faced with. These are way better than the OEM Pirelli Scorpions that came with my Navigator which I only got 28,000 miles out of.
