Tire Rack Consumer Review of the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2

By Tire Rack Consumer Reviews

With tires, you pay for what you get; and these tires are DEFINITELY worth paying for. I live up in the foothills of Vermont, and drive everything from deep mud and rocks up to our hunting camp, to up and down the highway for work. I couldn't be happier with a set of tires being able to handle it all. I was skeptical of how the bigger tread would handle the snow, but I was the only person of 5 not to get stuck recently when we last went up to camp. These tires wear EXTREMELY well with the harder rubber, ride surprisingly nice, and are worth every penny. I tell every truck owner I know to not be an idiot and buy these tires. 11/10 will be buying again!

Nice tires! Great traction and look good. A lot quieter and smoother on the highway at 70 MPH than I expected!

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the BFGoodrich g-Force COMP-2 A/S

By Tire Rack Consumer Reviews

The best tires I've purchased as far back as I can remember! I purchased these tires based on the high reviews I saw on this website and they seem to be accurate because I noticed incredibly improved performance the moment I drove on them. I drive hard and fast and these tend to squeal less on hard acceleration compared to previous tires I've used. In the wet, I push this car harder than I did in the past because I struggle to find the breaking point where the tires begin to lose control. Road noise is minimal and highway driving causes almost no vibration.

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the BFGoodrich g-Force COMP-2 A/S

By Tire Rack Consumer Reviews

Far exceeded my expectations on tire wear. Up to the same level as higher rated tread wear from my last Pirelli's. These tires are the best for wet and dry weather; never hydroplane or lose traction in dry weather. The side walls are not the most attractive, but work as advertised. These tires are a bargain. My car has 395,000 miles on it, so I have been through many tires and brands. You cannot go wrong with these tires!!

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Riken Raptor ZR

Performance has exceeded my expectations especially in the wet which i expect will get worse as the tire wears, i will be writing a follow up review at the end of the summer when I swap back to snow tires.

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ (W- or Y-Speed Rated)

By Tire Rack Consumer Reviews

To date, I think these Michelins are a very comfortable high-performance tire with excellent wet-weather traction. I I don't have enough miles or weather on them to evaluate longevity or snow performance, but I have driven them in dry and wet highway conditions, and they are very smooth-riding, have great wet and dry traction, and impart confidence in their handling. They corner extremely well, wet or dry. They are a little less precise in steering input than I expected, but they have a lot more tread than the tires they replaced,a set of Continental Pro Contact all-seasons, and the summer-only performance tires on my Porsche. The Contis were old, worn-out, and noisy, so there is no real comparison there, but my impression is that the Michelins are superior. My E350 is the sport version, but I must admit that when writing this review I realized my driving has gone from spirited to average, especially in this vehicle. That said, I do have some experience driving competition vehicles with slicks, and Minnesota gives you a good opportunity to practice your car-handling skills, so this review is not entirely uninformed.

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Michelin X-Ice Xi3

By Tire Rack Consumer Reviews

I bought these tires for my 2013 Subaru outback. I was getting tired of having tires that really didn't work well in the snow.

After taking a look at all the options I settled on the X ice3, and I'm glad I did. They did great on ice, they did great on snow, and the surprising thing is if they did really well compared to my normal tiresΓ’€Β¦ In fact they might actually be better than my regular tires!

I would say that they perform as well as my older Blizzaks, but they handle far better.

They stop extremely well, they do great in the snow, and slush and ice are not a problem.

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06

By Tire Rack Consumer Reviews

I really like these tires. We have a lot of days where the temperatures are below freezing at night and warm in the afternoons, so I had to go to all weather tires. They don't track as well as switching between summer and winter tires, but these tires are a good compromise. I was wearing out my winter tires quickly when the weather got warm in the afternoons. I really have not had any problems, but I do avoid driving when there is more than a couple of inches of fresh snow. They really wear well, although I am getting more tire noise as they get some miles on them. I will buy them again.

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the BFGoodrich g-Force COMP-2 A/S

By Tire Rack Consumer Reviews

Put these on my tuned '14 VW Golf TDI. I mainly drive the highway to and from work (140 mile round trip 7 times a month) but on my days off enjoy pushing the car on the back roads around my place. These tires are amazing. I have about 25,000 miles on them and they are already light years ahead of the OEM Conti's that came with the car at the same mileage. I took the car to the Skyline Drive recently and was very impressed with the way gripped every corner.

I've rotated them every 10k mile service and have gotten even wear across all four. I will most likely need a new set by the end of the fall season when I swap onto my Blizzaks and they will probably be close to 35k miles so I'm very happy with the way they are wearing at this point. I can't speak to the winter driving ability of these tires since I swap onto my Blizzaks when it gets cold.

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2

By Tire Rack Consumer Reviews

I've just had a set of BFG Allterrain KO2 put on my 2015 Ram 1500 4X4. One of my Goodyear Wrangler SRA split across the face of the tread while I was on a well maintained mainroad logging road. I went to this size because I wanted a 10 ply tire for towing as when I am loaded up I'm a little over 14000lbs between the trailer and the truck. So far these tires are only slightly loader than the SRA, and the ride is only slightly stiffer. I'll do a follow up review later this summer after logging some miles with my trailer in tow.

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the BFGoodrich g-Force COMP-2 A/S

By Tire Rack Consumer Reviews

Just hit 10K on these tires and they still look, feel, and perform like new. I do have a staggered setup so I can't comment on further wear; I haven't driven the car in snow either so I can't comment on that either. Steering response is fantastic, as is the fuel economy and quietness of ride.

These will be replacing the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S on my Mini Cooper as well.

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Continental PureContact with EcoPlus Technology

By Tire Rack Consumer Reviews

Bought these as replacements for the OEM Kumhos that came with my car... The Kumhos were ok as long as it wasn't too wet out. They were horrible in the snow... but these Continental PureContacts were very highly rated and that turned out to be true.
This is a fantastic tire - great traction in the rain and light snow... and quiet as well. These are a bargain if you look at the price of other less-rated tires. Would buy again... in a heartbeat.

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar

By Tire Rack Consumer Reviews

Thanks to TireRack reviews and ratings, these quickly replaced the OEM BFG Radial Long Trails on my Xterra, tires that I previously described as providing irresponsible. (I stand by that assessment.)

After the first 15,000 miles or so, I thought the Adventurer All-Terrains had done a fine jobΓ’€”not exceptional, but fine. In fact (and it pains me admit this), the performance of these tires wasn't any better than Firestone Destination A/T tires I had on my previous Xterra. That stung a bit, considering how much more the Adventures cost. Sure, they came with a pretty good warranty for all-terrain tires, but it hardly justified the increased pricetag. And then...

During a roadtrip, I hit a large piece of debrisΓ’€”it looked like a metal bracket to hold a spare semi wheel in place. Big. Solid. Angular. Pointy. In the split-second I had to react, I squared up to it as best I could, nailed it, listened to it hit some skidplates underneath, and watched it emerge behind me...where a GTI also hit it, blowing out its front tire.

I pulled over to help the other driver. He had massive tread and sidewall damage, the tire a complete loss from the large tear the bracket caused. Meanwhile, the Adventures on the Xterra had...nothing. Not a mark I could find, and I hit that thing hard. That was more than 10,000 miles ago.

So there you have it: They're expensive with decent performance. But are they worth it? Honestly,I can't say. I'm irritated at the cartoon-banana-peel performance as soon as the road gets slightly wet and toboggan-like experience on some road ice , but can't fault the durability. Based on the other miscellaneous impacts I've had with them, these things are tanks.

I guess it's a matter of priority. If you want okay traction but great durability for a heavy price, these are perfect. If you want okay traction but a great value, go with the Destination A/Ts.

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Continental ExtremeContact Sport

By Tire Rack Consumer Reviews

Got these tires at the same time I went from 225/40-18 to 225/45-17 on 17x8 lightweight wheels. These tires are light too at 21 lbs ea. Ride quality has greatly improved at the same time wet and dry traction immensely improved! No more wheel spin- these just hook up and go. Most impressive is the wet traction however- been getting a lot of rain here in central Texas but these tires seem quite oblivious to it all...some highways here have 80mph speed limits so hydroplaning can be a real serious issue- these Continentals are quite confidence inspiring! Given the 340 tread wear rating these are a bargain compared to Pilot Super Sports yet give up no performance category to them. Tire Rack's local installer did a great mount, balance and alignment job too.

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Kumho Road Venture AT51

By Tire Rack Consumer Reviews

Got these tires for a road trip from south Florida to Montana at Christmas. drove thru heavy rain, light snow, deep snow, and ice. some grades at 7 percent uphill and down hill , these never failed me and my sons. got to Missoula Mt. a day early to surprise mom on Christmas morning. The best was seeing Subarus and other vehicles in ditches all around us, we never had a problem. I didn't even lower tire pressure from 80 psi, even on 1/2 inch ice covered roads in Wyoming. Just ordered my 2nd set. Will continue to run these on my Ram Promaster as long as they are available. 136 w.b. 3.6 pentastar hightop front wheeldrive, thanks ram/ fiat.

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Kumho Ecsta LX Platinum

By Tire Rack Consumer Reviews

I was looking for an affordable set of tires for our Jetta. The Kumho was recommended by my mechanic and even though they were less than $300 a set I took a chance and ordered them. The results blew me away! Quiet, comfortable and excellent handling in extreme wet conditions! I drove home through a major rain storm and the car was stable, steady and on track. I highly recommend these tires whether you're on a tight budget or not. Don't hesitate to buy these!

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Kumho Ecsta LX Platinum

By Tire Rack Consumer Reviews

These tires are awesome and very affordable, I replaced my old Good Year Assurance tires with these and I cannot be more satisfied. This may sound crazy but these tires in my personal opinion are way better that the Good Year Assurance tires
If you are thinking about these, there is no way to go wrong. Look at the reviews and you will see why

All-New Goodyear Endurance Trailer Tires are Made in the USA

By Gary Stanley

Another winter season is behind us and temperatures are rising enough that many enthusiasts are getting their warm-weather toys out for summertime fun. Whether you own a boat, jet skis, ATVs, race cars or dirt bikes, you probably own a trailer that you use to transport these vehicles. Β

While checking the condition of your trailer, be sure to take some time to inspect the tires. The condition of your trailer tires is important to safety and is often neglected. Take the time to look beyond a visual check of the tires' tread depth. Trailer tiresΒ commonly "age out" before they wear out since many drivers don't put enough miles on them to cause significant tread wear. Therefore, be sure to check them for weather cracking, severe discoloration and other signs of aging before you use your trailer this year. Regardless of the condition of your trailer tires, most tire manufacturer associations recommend replacing tires that are over ten years old. For help determining the age of your tires, check out our tech article here. Β

Should you find that a trailer tire purchase is in your future, we've got you covered! Β Here at Tire Rack, we offer value-oriented trailer tires tire in the Power King brand. We previously discussed the Power King trailer tires in, "Goodyear Marathon Radial vs. Power King Towmax STR Trailer Tires." We also offer Goodyear trailer tires, including their new Endurance tire.

Until recently shoppers looking for a familiar and well-respected tire brand for their trailer tires would turn to the Goodyear Marathon Radial. Since its introduction over ten years ago, the Marathon Radial has provided drivers with long wear and reliable service. In order to offer an even better trailer tire to its customers, Goodyear has replaced most sizes of the old Marathon Radial with the EnduranceΒ trailer tire and moved production of the new tire model to the USA. Β

TheΒ Goodyear EnduranceΒ trailer tires feature a new tread pattern with more tightly spaced ribs to provide constant rubber-to-road contact for improved straight line tracking, highway stability and longer wear. All sizes now include two-ply nylon reinforcement to stabilize the tread which increases durability and traction.Β Some of the most popular sizes have increased load capacity compared to the old Marathon Radial. Β

These improvements make theΒ Goodyear EnduranceΒ a great choice for replacement trailer tires. Don't let a trailer tire failure ruin your fun this summer.

Tire Rack Consumer Review of the Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06

By Tire Rack Consumer Reviews

My 2014 Audi A4 came with Continental ContiSportContact 3 and they lasted for only a year (mainly because of my driving style). Then I replaced all 4 tires with 255/35ZR-19 CONTINENTAL EXTREMECONTACT DWS 06 XL and even after 15000+ miles of extreme driving, they are holding good. I absolutely love them and would recommend them to people who like to accelerate hard at the traffic lights and are worried about it's effects on the treads.
